Lesson for Today

It is simple and I hope that you will all take heed: one toaster struedel is plenty for anyone, ESPECIALLY a diabetic!!!!! Just ask the optomitrist office staff. Two toaster streudels later and obviously not enough insulin, someone was in the office corner chanting, "Emma is a GEEK, Emma is a GEEK!" was about all it took for me to throw the dang things out! Blood sugar was 290, thank you very much. Ummm........wish I could have explained that one to the staff. Didn't know what his problem was though until we got home.

He didn't get out of jail free on that one. His blood sugar wasn't quite high enough to warrant that. Emma and I enjoyed our sonic "Happy Hour" drinks while Ben pined in the back for his diet Sprite. Wish we'd gone with that in the Diet Sprite in the first place. Ben is now composing a screenplay. He informed me that it is entitled, "How a Mom Ruined Her Son's Life." I hope he doesn't mention the Toaster Struedels.

Man Janene, your kids are hilarious, although I am sure it wasn't too funny for you at the time. Gotta love the title of his screenplay! Is he starting his teens early?!! I remember feeling like that, but not until I was 15 or so. Thank heavens we grow out of it though! I don't know what I'd do without my mom now! And I hope Ben changes the title of his screenplay to something more loving towards you after he realizes that disciplining with love will make him a better person in the long run! Even if he doesn't get anymore toaster strudels. :)
