We are, of course, referring to Emma. This is what she called herself on Friday. After a class Christmas party, she then went to Despereaux with her teacher and some classmates. After that, she hung out with her teacher and a friend while we coordinated getting back to her. Finally, we took Emma to a friend's house to catch the tail end of a party there. On the way to the last event, Emma leaned back and said, "I am a party animal."
Asher's response: "Emma, this is the last party you are going to today. I don't like you going to all these parties!"
Emma and Asher stayed home today from church with coughs. We figured that at this holiday season this was something they could keep to themselves. Well, they painted their noses red and Emma FINALLY donned the reindeer ears I got her to wear to school. She said (and I quote), "Thank you for getting these for me. I wish I had worn them to school." When I came home Thursday night with them expecting to excite her, all I got were pouts that it wasn't a Santa hat. Turns out one other girl wore the reindeer ears friday. I guess you've got to do cutting-edge in pairs in the fourth grade.
Emma said something else that was funny today, but for the life of me I can't remember it. Dang the short term memory!!!! The good news: it may have hit my long term. In the event that it did, I'll post it tomorrow!
