That's all I have to say on the subject at 3:29 am, night two. The honeymoon is over, literally. Ben's pancreas is finally giving out. His blood sugar is really high and I am checking it every hour and trying to decide whether to pump him full of more insulin and have him drop to 44 like he did last night or if the new insulin I just put in his pen got frozen (I put it on ice last night). If it froze, that would explain why his blood sugar will not come down now.
Okay, just skip this entry and go onto the many, many others I have posted tonight. Just had to keep things real here!
